This year, Mary was invited to design the costume for the modern dance performance titled “The Thread” on August 24, under the direction of Russel Malliphant and to the music of Oscar-winning Greek composer Vangelis.

The Thread is an innovative modern dance performance that changes the rules of movement in the contemporary dance. A high standards production that charmed both public and critics at Sadler’s Wells London, now at the famous Ancient Greek Amphitheater of Epidaurus. With Mary Katrantzou’s richly coloured costumes which catch each flickering mood.
