Perfume bottles and the reflective quality of glass inspired the collection named ‘Woman in a Bottle'. For Autumn Winter 2009 Katrantzou follows the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy, among other designers, who have designed perfume bottles around the female figure in the past. In this collection, Katrantzou turned that idea on its head, placing the perfume bottle on the woman and treating it as if it were the body itself. The female figure is accentuated by the contours of the perfume bottle and the prints are engineered around the female figure, creating the illusion of an hour glass silhouette.
